Starbucks fans are not hot for this change of cold drinks.
Cold coffee orders will no longer come in a plastic cup in some Starbucks-on the contrary places, they will be served in cold fiber-composed cups.
The new beverages available are made of formed fibers and come with flat lids or cubes in shape to accommodate both regular icy drinks as well as beverage beaten as frappuccinos.
The coffee chain has changed their transparent cups of a single use to go for these dark white compost cups in 14 different countries.
States that will start seeing new cups include California, Washington, Hawaii, Minnesota, Arizona, New Mexico, Massachusetts, Michigan, Maryland, Connecticut, Virginia, South Colorado and Georgia.

Starbucks has an intention to make their cups fully composable, recyclable or reusable by 2030, according to their website.
Although change is a step in the right direction for the company’s sustainability purposes and matches the mandates of local law, many Starbucks lovers are not satisfied with the change, claiming that the new lids are difficult to drink.

“I’ve never lost that little indent on top more. In fact it may have to start bringing my cup,” another shared.
“The cups are seriously terrible,” someone else said, while another declared it “the worst lid in history.”
“These cups are a crime against coffee,” one person wrote.
Others noted that the absence of a clear cup would stop people from ordering “tiktok drinks”, saying “cannot drink a drink if hidden”.
“Does this mean that we can stop all the drinks with thick Instagramable layers now ????? I am sick that I need to stir everything together because it is made photogenic on the drinking!”
“Once customers don’t get rid of the drink with funny views, they will have to buy drinks they” Gasp “actually want to drink,” someone else wrote.
For customers who really don’t want to use these new cups, Starbucks said you can still bring your own Drinwkare.
